Dr. Loukia Apostolakopoulou is a Neurologist subspecialised in Diagnostic & Therapeutic Epilepsy, Advanced Electroencephalography (EEG) and Headaches. Trained at leading Centers of Excellence in Greece and abroad, she integrates the most current clinical guidelines into her practice, offering comprehensive care that spans from acute neurological management to Integrative Brain Health and cognitive-empowerment protocols.
She heads the EEG Laboratory at the NeuraCare (Affidea) Center of Excellence and is a Scientific Associate with an active clinical role at the Epilepsy Unit of the 1st Neurology Clinic of the University of Athens (Eginition Hospital), as well as in its EEG and Long-term Video-EEG laboratories.

The Symbol «λ»
The «λ» is not merely the initial of my name, or the artistic signature that accompanies each of my handmade creations. In Neurophysiology and the EEG, lambda waves (λ-waves) appear when the brain is in a state of alertness — when we are awake, with our eyes open, actively exploring the world around us.
This is where my whole philosophy is distilled: to be present, with the eyes of both body and soul open. To be aware and to listen to ourselves. To claim a life full of meaning, balance and presence.

Salzburg University Hospital (Christian Doppler Klinik) — Austria
Subspecialisation in epilepsy and advanced Video-EEG analysis at the official European Reference Network Epicare. She trained alongside Professors Eugen Trinka and Markus Leitinger, global leaders in shaping international guidelines for status epilepticus.
ILAE & Albert Einstein College of Medicine (USA)
Completion of the ILAE VIREPA Advanced EEG programme, in collaboration with Albert Einstein College of Medicine, following an honorary scholarship from the international Michael Foundation Grant.
University Hospital of Ioannina
Subspecialisation in the therapeutic applications of Botulinum Toxin (Botox / Dysport) with ultrasound guidance, for the management of spasticity and focal dystonias.
